Forum: classic_cartoons Subject: Help!

I'm looking for a cartoon, its about a detective/private eye, its a play on words. He talks over the cartoon saying things like "i met an old flame" and there is a flame and "she had a bunch of little ones" and there are a bunch of little 1's. Its not symphany of slang but is quite similar. Thanks

It's an MGM cartoon directed by Tex Avery. It's called SYMPHONY IN SLANG. No way it's public domain. Info:

Thanks for that but its not Symphany of Slang although it is very similar. The detective was a actually a man. There was also another scene when someone walked straight of the street into his office which he commented was odd as it was on the second floor!
